Launch of the Bench Book On Children

It is my pleasure to present this Bench Book on Children which aims to help judicial officers fulfil their duty to protect and ensure the best interests of all children who come before the Courts, whether as a complainant, witness, or offender in criminal proceedings, or as a party in family and civil proceedings. This Bench Book compiles relevant national laws and procedures, applicable case law, international standards, and national and international best practices for dealing with children who come into contact with the justice system.
