There are more than 400 co-operatives in Fiji. Co-operative is established under the S116 of the Co-operatives Act 1996. The Tribunal consists of 3 persons namely the Registrar or a duly authorized co-operative officer provided that in the case of an Appeal against the decision made against the Registrar or a duly authorized co-operative officer, such person as maybe appointed by the Attorney General.
A representative of the Co-operative movement, approved by both the disputed parties and appointed by the National Co-operative federation.
A person appointed from the office of the Attorney General.
