Reporting Responsibilities;
- Reports to: Senior Administrative Officer (PPU)
- Liaises with: HR Section Staff, Court Support Staff
- Subordinates: Nil
The Position
The position reports to the Senior Administrative Officer and is responsible for providing support services to the various Registries/Units within the Department and is also responsible for facilitating in the staff recruitment and selection process.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive the application on a daily basis;
- Entering the application into the register and excel system for vacant positions;
- Send acknowledgement to candidates in regards to their applications;
- Prepare and provide bio-data to the Senior Administrative Officer for applicants for vacant positions for post processing;
- Facilitate in conducting interview ;
- Provide Secretarial, Administrative support services in accordance with Departmental policies, practices and procedure;
- Provide word-processing, spread sheet and data entry services for the Post Processing Unit;
- Attend to enquires about vacant positions;
- Assist in any other duties as and when assigned by the Superiors.
SELECTION CRITERIA
The Person
Qualification of a pass in Fiji Seven Form Examination or equivalent. A pass in Service Examination H is advantageous together with the following Knowledge, Experience, Skills and Abilities are required to successfully undertake this role:
Knowledge and Experience
- Sound knowledge of PSC Acts, Regulation, General Orders, Financial Instruction and Department Policies and Regulations and Court Procedures;
- Sound knowledge of the Fijian Constitution (2013);
- Knowledge and experience in post processing and filing system.
Skills and Abilities
The applicant should have demonstrated the following skills and abilities:
- Strong written and oral communications skills together with public relations and customer service skills;
- Ability to work under minimum supervision and achieve relevant outputs with strict deadlines;
- Planning and organisation skills and the ability to work as part of a team;
- Ability to maintain confidentiality;
- Ability to multitasks and organise workload;
- Capacity to utilize computer programs to support the operations of the Unit.
Personal Character and Eligibility
Applicants for employment in the Judicial Department must be Fijian Citizens, under Age 60, in sound health, with a clear police record. The selected applicant will be required to provide a medical report and police clearance prior to taking up duty.
